A 44-year-old Bangladeshi man has been arrested for allegedly possessing and dealing in illegal liquor.

The suspect, identified as Sofiqul Islam, was apprehended on March 5 by the Counter Narcotics Intelligence and Drug Enforcement authorities.

Following his arrest, a search of his residence led to the discovery of 18 bottles of liquor.

Police confirmed that the suspect has since been handed over to Immigration authorities for deportation.

The case remains under investigation as officials continue their efforts to curb illegal activities.
