The Club Maldives Cup will start today evening.

The opening ceremony will be held at 4:00 pm today. After that, four Club Maldives Cup matches and two 18/30 Football Fiesta matches will be played.

The tournament will kick off with the match between the reigning champions Road Development Corporation's Recreation Club (RRC) and Male' City Council.

One of the most prestigious futsal tournaments being held in the Maldives was scheduled to be held last Month. However, the competition was postponed due to the lack of work in the stadium.

This year's tournament has fewer women's teams than in other years. This year's tournament will be held at the football ground near Rehendu School in Uppsala.

The Club Maldives Cup, jointly organized by the Youth Ministry and the Football Association of Maldives (FAM), was originally scheduled to start in September. However, the tournament was later postponed to the next month due to some issues.

Road Development Corporation (RDC) is the last champion of the men's section of last year's tournament. Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) is the champion of the women's section.

Club Maldives began holding futsal competitions in 2006.
