President Dr. Muizzu emphasized the critical role of passing the budget in parliament for the continuity of development projects, highlighting potential challenges if it fails to receive approval.

Speaking last night at a campaign event for Ali Moosa, a candidate running for the Hoarafushi Constituency seat under the PNC's ticket, President Dr. Muizzu underscored the importance of cooperation from citizens to fulfill pledges.

Addressing concerns about project disruptions, President Dr. Muizzu stressed that without parliamentary approval of the budget, implementation could face obstacles.

He expressed apprehension about the potential consequences if the budget undergoes extensive modifications before passing.

If the budget fails to pass, we'll face significant challenges. Making numerous changes and rushing the budget through could disrupt our plans. We certainly hope to avoid such scenarios

said President Dr. Muizzu

President Dr. Muizzu noted that although details of proposed projects were submitted during the transition period, certain changes were made by the MDP supermajority parliament during the budget approval process.

Highlighting the impact of such decisions on project execution, President Dr. Muizzu urged voters to elect ruling party candidates to parliament to prevent such disruptions in the future.
