President Muizzu extends gratitude for investments from Turkey and China

In the presidential address today, President Muizzu expressed heartfelt gratitude to Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and China President Xi Jinping for the substantial investments and developmental opportunities extended to the Maldives by both nations.

President Muizzu, who recently concluded visits to Turkey and China, highlighted the fruitful outcomes of these diplomatic missions.

In the last 11 weeks, l've visited Turkey and China. In each visit, multiple investments and developmental opportunities were received. I thank Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and China President Xi Jinping

The meeting with President Erdogan occurred on November 27th of the previous year, while the visit to China took place on January 8 of the current year.

These engagements have resulted in substantial investments that will contribute to the overall development of the Maldives.

President Muizzu underscored the significance of maintaining close bilateral ties with countries that support and aid the Maldives.

Emphasizing the protection of the country's sovereignty as the most crucial foreign policy, he pledged to nurture strong relations, especially with Islamic nations, throughout the five years of his presidency.
