Rajnath Singh, the Defense Minister of India, engaged in a diplomatic visit to Maldives where he held a cordial meeting with Abdulla Shahid, the Foreign Minister of Maldives.

At the meeting held at the Foreign Ministry, Minister Shahid emphasized the longstanding relationship between Maldives and India.

Minister Shahid also acknowledged India's support in the enhancement of military and defense capabilities of Maldives.

Furthermore, in the meeting held earlier today with the Indian Defense Minister, the strong defense ties between Maldives and India were discussed, and Minister Shahid expressed gratitude towards India for their continuous efforts in strengthening this bond.
