The Opposition Accuses Authorities of Illegally Monitoring Former President Abdulla Yameen via Hidden Cameras Connected to Phones in His Jail Cell.

During the recent press conference held by the Progressive Congress Coalition, President Abdul Raheem of PNC expressed concern over the detention of former President Yameen, citing apprehension regarding the personal bias of the jail authorities who control his confinement.

He expressed his concern over the alleged harassment of former President Yameen by prison wardens, stating that he is worried about his well-being.

“We have received information stating that Imran has facilitated the monitoring of President Yameen's every move, including his restroom visits, through the use of installed cameras. This is the kind of evil behavior that Imran is capable of, and it raises serious concerns."

Furthermore, Abdul Raheem asserted that despite the Elections Commission's statement that former President Yameen is eligible to run for the upcoming presidential election, Yameen has not been granted the opportunity to campaign, despite the election being just four months away.

“The entire government appears to be deliberately targeting President Yameen, and it seems that the Home Minister is at the forefront of these efforts."

Abdul Raheem alleges that Home Minister Imran is the one who is responsible for monitoring the activities of former President Yameen, through the cameras connected to his phone.
