The Indian High Commission in the Maldives has hosted a networking event for the visiting delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). 

The Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives Shri Munu Mahawar and the Economic Minister Fayyaz Ismail attended, with a delegation from CII which comprised leading Indian renewable, water treatment and waste management companies. 

The event aimed to promote bilateral investment between the Maldives and India, especially in renewable, water treatment and waste management. 

The Indian government has been one the largest investors in the Maldives with massive infrastructure projects becoming underway in various parts of the Maldives.
