The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of the Maldives and the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing collaboration in the fight against corruption.

The agreement was formalized on Monday during the Saudi-Maldives International Forum on Integrity 2025.

On behalf of the Maldives, the MoU was signed by ACC President Uz. Adam Shamil, while Dr Raid Mahmood Radwan signed on behalf of the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission.

The MoU outlines a framework for both countries to work together in preventing and combating corruption.

It includes provisions for the exchange of information, technical expertise, policy strategies, training programmes, and mutual participation in relevant events and initiatives.

According to the ACC, the agreement underscores the shared commitment of both commissions to uphold integrity, transparency, and good governance.

The partnership aligns with the principles of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and aims to advance cross-border anti-corruption efforts through international cooperation.
