Ambassador Azeema assumes role in India, presents credentials to President Murmu
Maldives’ Ambassador to India, Aishath Azeema, formally presented her credentials to Indian President Droupadi Murmu in a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
During the meeting, President Murmu extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Azeema and congratulated her on her appointment.
In response, Ambassador Azeema conveyed best wishes from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and the people of Maldives to the Indian President and citizens.
She also expressed gratitude for India’s continued support to the Maldives across various sectors.
Ambassador Azeema reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and highlighted the significance India places on fostering relations between the two neighboring nations.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Maldives and India.
