Maldives Police Service (MPS) has revealed that the deceased boy of Nishama Mohamed has now been transported to Male' City for postmortem.

Police confirmed the following in a message to the media.

Nishama age 28 was reported dead to people around 12:30 pm on Saturday. Her husband  Faisal Abubakr age 32, Rosyvilla, Alif Dhaal Atoll Fenfushi was arrested in connection to the case. 

A court has remanded Faisal for 15 days in connection to the case.

While Faisal is charged with the murder, Nishama's relatives, neighbours, and residents of Fenfushi have all said that he frequently beats his wife.
