President Dr. Muizzu and First Lady arrive in Bangalore as fourth stop of India visit
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, who is on a state visit to India, arrived in Bangalore today following a brief visit to Mumbai.
The President touched down in Bangalore this morning, where he is scheduled to meet the Governor, investors, and engage with the Maldivian community.
His visit to Bangalore will focus on economic events and engagements.
He was received by Karnataka Education Minister Dr. M.C Sudhakar and Karnataka’s Chief Secretary Dr. Shalini Rajneesh
Bangalore marks the fourth city in India on President Muizzu's itinerary, as part of his first official state visit to India since taking office in November.
The visit is at the invitation of Indian President Droupadi Murmu
The President is accompanied by First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed and a high-level government delegation.
President Dr.Muizzu began his visit in New Delhi on Sunday, where he met with several Indian leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar.
During the trip, he also participated in key diplomatic events such as the Maldives-India Networking Evening and the India-Maldives Business Forum.
Last night, the President attended an official dinner hosted by Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan in Mumbai.
Several agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two nations were signed, and Indian-funded projects were officially handed over to the Maldivian government.
President Muizzu is set to return to the Maldives on October 10th after completing his state visit.
