During a joint press conference between Maldives and India governments held during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s ongoing state visit to India, 700 social housing units were officially handed over to the Maldives.

The housing project, funded through EXIM Bank’s Buyers’ Credit Facilities, aims to address the growing housing demand in the Maldives.

Speaking at the event, President Dr. Muizzu expressed his gratitude to the Indian government for supporting the project and developement of the Maldives.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to supporting the Maldives in its socio-economic development.
