President Dr. Muizzu engages with Maldivian community in New Delhi during state visit

In a meaningful engagement this evening, President Dr. Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed reached out to the Maldivian community in New Delhi, India.

The couple took the time to inquire about the wellbeing of community members, listening attentively to their concerns and challenges, and reiterated the administration's commitment to addressing these issues.

Today marked the beginning of President Muizzu's first state visit to India, which will run from October 6 to 10, 2024.

During this visit, he also met with India's External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, laying the groundwork for discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.

President Dr. Muizzu is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow, further highlighting the importance of this visit in enhancing collaboration across various sectors.

This visit is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing partnerships between the Maldives and India, fostering deeper cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
