The President, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, arrived in New Delhi this afternoon for a state visit, following an official invitation from the President of India, Her Excellency Droupadi Murmu. 

Indian government officials greeted the President and First Lady upon their arrival at New Delhi airport.

The visit underscores efforts to bolster ties between the two nations.

Accompanying President Dr. Muizzu are First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed and a high-level delegation from the Maldivian government.

The President is set to hold discussions with President Murmu, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other senior Indian officials.

Talks will focus on deepening bilateral cooperation and further enhancing the relationship between the Maldives and India.

In addition to engagements in New Delhi, President Dr. Muizzu is scheduled to visit Mumbai and Bangalore later this week.
