President Dr Muizzu invites Kuwaiti Investors to boost Maldives' development
President Dr. Muizzu extended a formal invitation to Kuwaiti investors to participate in the development of the Maldives during a meeting with Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and focused on strengthening the diplomatic and strategic relations between the two nations.
During the discussions, President Dr. Muizzu expressed his gratitude to the Kuwaiti government for its continued support, particularly in the health sector.
He highlighted the significant impact of Kuwaiti assistance on the Maldives and reiterated his administration's commitment to its development agenda.
One of the key areas of focus was the enhancement of the transportation system in the Maldives.
President Dr. Muizzu emphasized the importance of investment in this sector and encouraged Kuwaiti investors to contribute to various development projects aimed at improving infrastructure and services.
The Crown Prince of Kuwait responded positively to the invitation, expressing interest in exploring potential investment opportunities within the Maldives.

Whil Maldives and Kuwait established diplomatic ties on December 1, 1977, this meeting represents a significant opportunity for the Maldives to attract Kuwaiti investment, which is essential for advancing its development initiatives and fostering economic growth.
