Maldivian Chef Maha to judge prestigious World Junior Chef Battle in Thailand
Maldivian culinary maestro, Chef Maha Naseer, has been appointed as a judge for the highly anticipated Thailand World Junior Chef Battle 2024.
The competition, which will take place in Bangkok from August 28 to 31, will bring together some of the brightest young culinary talents from around the world.
The event will see 16 teams competing, including 12 international teams and 4 Thai teams.
The participants represent a diverse range of countries, such as the Maldives, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Mongolia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, the USA, Australia, and Greece.
These teams will be evaluated by a panel of distinguished chefs from across the globe, including Chef Maha.
Chef Maha Naseer is no stranger to the culinary world.
She previously held the role of Secretary General of the Chef Guild of Maldives and is currently a board member of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation, the nation’s official tourism board.
Her illustrious career is adorned with numerous accolades both at home and internationally.
As one of the few female executive chefs in the Maldives, she also holds the unique honor of being the first Maldivian to be awarded the title of Master Chef.
