Former Chairman of Island Aviation, Mohamed Mihad

Mohamed Mihad has been dismissed from his role as Chairman of Island Aviation Services (IAS), according to an announcement by the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB).

The PCB confirmed Mihad’s removal from the post on Wednesday, though no replacement has been appointed yet.

Mihad, who was appointed Chairman of IAS on January 9, had previously served as the company’s Managing Director during the former administration.

Following a change in government on November last year, Ibrahim Iyas was appointed as the new Managing Director, and Mihad was subsequently transferred to the role of Chairman.

Before joining IAS, Mihad held key positions in other state-owned enterprises, including Managing Director of the Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) and board member of the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).
