USA increases its development grant to the Maldives by USD 8.5 million
Maldives and the United States signed the fourteenth amendment to their Development Objective Grant Agreement (DOAG) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, extending the grant by USD 8.5 million.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sheryna Abdul Samad and USAID Mission Director Gabriel Grau signed on behalf of their respective governments.
The DOAG enhances the Maldives' public finance management and strengthens economic and democratic governance.
With this amendment, the United States commits an additional USD 8.5 million, increasing the agreement's total value to USD 45.7 million.
Senior officials from both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the USAID Mission attended the ceremony.
