President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Mohamed Nimal as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Local Government Authority (LGA).

The appointment was made official this morning, marking a significant leadership change within the organization.

He previously held the position of President of the Malé Atoll Council and has served in various capacities, including as Minister Counsellor at the Maldives High Commission in Sri Lanka.

Nimal has also been the Managing Director of the Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC), Managing Director and Board Member of FENAKA Corporation, and Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Tourism.

Nimal holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) degree from Charles Sturt University in Australia.
