15-Day remand for foreigner involved in Hanimaadhoo Airport violence

The foreigner arrested for conducting violence at Hanimaadhoo International Airport has been remanded in custody for 15 days.

Two foreign employees working at Hanimaadhoo International Airport were reported to have been involved in a fight using weapons at around 20:00 pm last Friday, police reported.

One suspect has been arrested and the second is being treated at the Hanimaadhoo Health Centre.

A 37-year-old Indian immigrant was arrested in the case, and a 39-year-old Indian immigrant is being treated for injuries sustained in the fight.

Police said the foreigner was remanded in custody for 15 days after being produced before the court, Police are still investigating the incident.
