Malaysia Airlines to resume flights to Maldives
Malaysia Airlines is set to resume its flights to the Maldives after a six-year break.
According to Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) first flight is scheduled for this Thursday, marking a significant return for the airline.
The service will operate daily using a 174-seat Boeing 737-8 aircraft.
The airline last flew to the Maldives in 2017.
Malaysia home to a lot of maldivians and, over 13,000 tourists from Malaysia visited the Maldives last year.
In related news, China's Xiamen Airlines will begin its scheduled flights to the Maldives tomorrow, offering three flights a week.
