President appoints Fathimath Dhiyana as new Commissioner General of Customs, transfers Yoosuf Maniu

In a significant leadership reshuffle, Fathimath Dhiyana has been appointed as the new Commissioner General of Customs by President Dr. Muizzu.

The formal handover ceremony took place this afternoon at the Presidential Palace.

Dhiyana was previously serving as the first female Deputy Commissioner of Customs since February this year.

Her appointment comes with the rank of State Minister and first female to hold this position.

Yoosuf Maniu Mohammed, the former Commissioner General of Customs, has been reassigned to the position of Minister of State for Homeland Security and Technology.

The President's Office has not provided any specific reasons for this transition.
