The Ministry of Economic Affairs has warned that action will be taken against businesses that sell goods without clearly displaying their prices.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs has warned that action will be taken against businesses that sell goods without clearly displaying their prices.

In an announcement issued today, the ministry said Article 16 of the Consumer Protection of Goods and Services Act requires sellers to clearly communicate the prices of goods to consumers.

Selling goods without making their prices known to buyers is prohibited under the Act.

The ministry explained that prices must be written, printed or attached directly to the goods, or clearly displayed at the location where the goods are offered for sale.

It urged businesses to ensure that all goods offered for sale comply with these requirements.

The ministry also said it would conduct inspections and monitoring under Section 66 of the Act to check compliance.

Businesses found violating the requirements will face action under Section 84.
