Maldives Accounting Forum 2022 kicks off with 250 participants

The Maldives Accountants Forum organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives) has commenced today.

MAF is the largest event for accounting professionals in the Maldives and has been held annually since 2017.

This year's accounting forum kicked off at Dharubaaruge with 250 participants along with the participation of the Minister of Tourism of Maldives Dr Abdulla Mausoom as the Chief Guest. 

An interview video of Former Auditor General and Former President of CA Maldives Hassan Ziyath, Former Auditor General's Office Director of Corporate Services Adam Naseer and CA Maldives Vice President Hassan Mohamed was also screened at the opening ceremony of the forum. The video screen talks about the importance of the formation and importance of the Maldives Accountants Forum. 

Speaking at the forum, Auditor General and CA Maldives President Hussain Niyazy and Minister of Tourism Dr Abdullah Mausoom spoke at the forum. Abdulla Mausoom highlighted the importance of accountants and highlighted the importance of this year's forum theme 'Economic Transformation, Rethinking Growth in the New Economy.

This year's forum will focus on various challenges in many industries, including tourism, transportation, sustainable financing and fisheries.

Maldives Accountants Forum is organized with the aim to train people in the field of accounting and promote the accounting profession. Participants in the forum include those working in accounting and auditing departments of government ministries, state-owned companies and private companies.

This year's forum is set to have a technical session and panel discussions will be held at the forum which will be held from May 29 to 30. Various international professional accounting organisations and accounting professionals are set to speak at the forum
