Bank of Maldives launches its innovation lab hackathon

The Bank of Maldives (BOM) has launched the BML Hackathon as part of the 12th high-impact monthly community-based activities to be conducted leading up to its 40th anniversary in November.

The hackathon will be carried out under the theme 'Banking Solutions to Enhance Customer Experience' to select participants for its new Innovation Lab. Individuals and Teams can register for 48 hours to develop innovative fintech ideas and solutions to enhance customer experience and operational excellence.

Registration is now open for Hackathon but is limited to 50 participants and opening would be provided on a first come first serve basis. 

The Hackathon is scheduled to begin at 1400hrs on 14th October at Hotel Jen. Three winning teams will be chosen to work on their winning concepts for six months at the Bank's Innovation Lab under a contract and would be paid an MVR 20,000 per month as an allowance for each team to work during this period.
