The Chinese Ambassador to Maldives, Wang Lixin, has praised Maldives as one of the most favored destinations for Chinese tourists. 

In a tweet posted on April 22, Ambassador Wang Lixin responded to a tweet by Abdulla Mausoom, the Minister of Tourism of Maldives, which highlighted the growth of Chinese tourist arrivals in Maldives and thanked the Chinese embassy and other partners for supporting the revival of the Chinese market.

China has moved up to seventh place in the list of top 10 tourist generating markets for Maldives, according to data shared by Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) on Twitter. 

Ambassador Wang Lixin’s tweet reflects the positive image of Maldives among Chinese travelers. The tweet had gotten some replies thanking Ambassador Wang Lixin and China. 

Maldives has been actively promoting its tourism industry to Chinese travelers, with efforts to simplify visa procedures, enhance air connectivity, and provide more Chinese-language services and amenities.

The positive remarks by Ambassador Wang Lixin are likely to encourage more Chinese tourists to choose Maldives as their next destination.
