To retrieve the money back, currently, we have filed charges against 11 people, including some companies, its up to them to speed up the process

Said President Solih

Journalists grilled the President on why it took so long to get the money back, even after he had served in office for four years, out of the MVR 6 billion the state lost by selling its islands and lagoons.

In respondence, President Solih stated that he hoped that the institutions would work to complete the ACC investigation as soon as possible and send the cases of those involved to trial.

He added that justice will be meted out to all in the case and investigations will be completed.
