Pakistan HC in Maldives marks birth anniversary of Pakistan’s founding father
The High Commission of Pakistan in Hulhumale’ hosted a ceremony on December 25, 2024, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.
The event drew participation from the Pakistani community, including children, Maldivian guests, and members of the Pakistan Maldives Friendship Association (PMFA).
The celebration commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Aayan Ahmed Inaan, followed by the playing of Pakistan’s national anthem.
High Commissioner of Pakistan, H.E. Vice Admiral (R) Faisal Rasul Lodhi, delivered a speech paying tribute to Quaid-e-Azam’s visionary leadership, which led to the establishment of Pakistan as an independent state for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
Highlighting the significance of the occasion, the High Commissioner reflected on Quaid-e-Azam’s enduring principles of unity, faith, and discipline, urging the youth to embrace his values as a blueprint for success.
He emphasized the shared cultural and historical ties between Pakistan and the Maldives, underscoring the commitment to strengthening bilateral relations in various sectors.
Deputy Head of Mission Zulqurnain Ahmad also addressed the gathering, extending warm greetings and praising Quaid-e-Azam’s timeless vision.
He called on attendees to honor Jinnah’s legacy by embodying his guiding principles in their daily lives.
The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and prayers for Pakistan’s continued progress and prosperity.

Born on December 25, 1876, he played a pivotal role in leading the constitutional struggle for an independent state for Muslims in the subcontinent.
