President Dr. Muizzu officially inaugurated the 'Nasruge Dhuvahuge Sifainge Maurazu 2024' or the victory day exhibition this morning during a special ceremony at the National Art Gallery in Malé.

Following the inauguration, President toured the exhibition, which commemorates the bravery and resilience of the Maldivian armed forces during the November 3, 1988, terrorist attack.

The exhibit aims to educate the younger generation about the significance of Victory Day, celebrating the nation's triumph against insurgency on that historic day.

This year’s exhibition features over 200 displays, including photographs, artifacts, and, for the first time, original weapons and items used during the conflict, allowing visitors to gain a more tangible understanding of the events of 1988.

The exhibition will run at the National Art Gallery from November 3 to November 9, with public visiting hours from 9 AM to 12 PM, 2 PM to 6 PM, and 8 PM to 10 PM.

First Lady Madam Sajida Mohamed, Vice President Uz. Hussein Mohamed Latheef, senior military officials, Cabinet ministers, and other senior government officials joined the President at the inauguration ceremony.

Victory Day in Maldives is marked on November 3rd of each year.
