The Government Oversight Committee of the Maldives Parliament has approved the appointments of three key ministers following a Cabinet reshuffle.

The reshuffle, initiated by the President on September 30 of this year, involves significant changes.

Former Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer has been transferred to the role of Finance Minister, while Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, previously serving as Health Minister, has been appointed as the new Foreign Minister.

Additionally, Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, who was the Principal Secretary to the President on Public Policy, has been appointed as the Health Minister.

The names of the three ministers were sent to the committee for approval on October 14.

After reviewing the appointments, the committee, during its meeting today, concluded that there were no issues with the ministers being presented to the relevant authorities.

The Anti-Corruption Commission, the Judicial Administration, and the Maldives Correctional Service also clarified the matter.

Following a thorough examination, the committee unanimously agreed to approve the appointments of the three ministers.
