President Dr. Muizzu expresses condolences to Türkiye following attack on Aerospace Industry Headquarters

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed heartfelt condolences to the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, following the tragic attack on the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) near Ankara.

The attack, which occurred on Wednesday, claimed the lives of at least five people and left 22 others injured, according to Türkiye’s interior ministry.

In his message, President expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and extended condolences to the bereaved families and loved ones.

He also offered prayers for the swift recovery of those injured in the violent incident.

On behalf of the government and the people of the Maldives, President Dr.Muizzu condemned the attack and reaffirmed the country’s solidarity with the people of Türkiye during this difficult time.

The message concluded with assurances of the Maldives' unwavering support for the brotherly and sisterly people of Türkiye. 

The attack on TUSAS on Wednesday, a major player in Turkey’s aerospace and defense sector, has sparked widespread condemnation as the investigation into the incident continues.
