The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) on Wednesday announced the opening for the development and operation of three upscale hotels in the Urban Isle section of Phase 2 in Hulhumale.

The announcement invites interested parties to submit proposals for the upscale development on three designated plots within Urban Isle, aimed at enhancing the Maldives’ tourism offerings with high-quality services and modern facilities.

Priority will be given to the land lease model for project allocation; however, proposals under alternative models are also welcomed according to HDC.

In the event that multiple parties express interest and submit proposals, the project will be awarded to the best proposal based on criteria such as the proposed business model and the operator's experience.

Interested parties are encouraged to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOIs) by 2:00 PM on the 29th of this month via email to [email protected].
