President Dr. Muizzu and First Lady visit Agra, set to tour Taj Mahal

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed arrived in Agra today as part of the President’s ongoing State Visit to India.

During their time in the city, the couple is set to tour the iconic Taj Mahal, one of India’s most renowned landmarks.

As part of his visit to India, President Dr. Muizzu has already engaged in high-level meetings with Indian leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar.

These meetings resulted in the signing of key agreements aimed at further strengthening the ties and cooperation between the Maldives and India. Additionally, several Indian-funded projects were officially handed over to the Maldivian government.

President Muizzu’s visit to India is at the invitation of President Murmu, and he is scheduled to return to the Maldives on October 10.
