People are not ready to hand over to President Nasheed: MP Ismail Ahmed

Dhuvaafaru constituency MP Ismail Ahmed has stated that the people of the Maldives are not ready to hand over the Presidency to Parliament Speaker. 

MP Ismail Ahmed made the remarks while speaking on the chagos issue tabled during yesterday's parliament sitting. 

Expressing displeasure over the way Parliament functioning, the MP stated that the real problem of the Maldives was not over the issue of Chagos or the disappearance of imman.

The MP stated that the problem is President Nasheed not being in power and if he wishes, the country will not go back to that situation. 

The people of the country are not ready to hand over the power this country to President Nasheed. We're not going to look at that manzer."

Speaking during today's session, MP Ahmed Ismail criticised the speaker of Mohamed Nasheed. 

MP Ahmed Ismail further explained by stating that during President Nasheed's tenure Maliku (Minicoy Island) was regarded as a part of Maldives according to Nasheed. He repeated by stating Nasheed use to talk about it. 

Speaking over the issues MP Ahmed Ismail further criticised President Nasheed by saying that there is no for the speaker's drama. He further reiterated by saying Chagos case would also be concluded in the best interest of Maldives.
