Hungary's minister of foreign affairs and trade travels to the Maldives on an official visit.

Hungary's Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade arrived in the Maldives today for an official visit. He is in the Maldives at Abdulla Shahid, the country's foreign minister's, invitation.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will receive a courtesy call from Minister Szijjártó on this trip. Additionally, Minister Szijjártó will sign three agreements between the Maldives and Hungary and hold official talks with Minister Shahid.

The 47-year-old bilateral relationship between the Maldives and Hungary has reached a significant turning point with the arrival of the first official visit from a minister of foreign affairs and trade from Hungary.
